BRAC

I have two extremely rough work weeks behind me and seven more weeks to go. Early 5am wake-ups and long shifts have taken my energy, but finally I found time to go through more pictures from Croatia. As you already know I traveled with my mom to Croatia few weeks ago. We stayed whole week at island Brac.

We arrived to Split and took raft to island Brac. Split seemed to be busy city with lot of shops and insane traffic, so I was pleased to arrive Brac and notice the difference. Quiet mountain roads with beautiful view. I felt so calm. We stayed at Bol, which is on the south of the island.

Croatia is the land of lavender. It's everywhere, which isn't surprise, because Croatia is one of the world largest producers of lavender. There were lavenders blooming next to our hotel and it's fragrance was so delicate. We stayed at Bluesun Hotel Elaphusa, which was next to "put zlatnog rata" pedestrian street and close to Zlatni Rat beach. Pedestrian street was one of my favorites. It was so peaceful street with little ice cream parlor's and small shops. We used to go every night there for a little walk.

Saavuimme Splitin kaupunkiin äidin kanssa, josta otimme lautan Bracin saarelle. Split oli todella hektinen kaupunki. Split pursui kyllä mitä ihanempia kauppoja, mutta olin silmin nähden huojentunut, kun saavuin Bracin rauhallisille vuoristoteille. Asustimme viikon ajan Bollin kaupungissa, joka sijaitsee Bracin saaren eteläpuolella.

Kroatia on laventelin maa.

Bol's centrum was small, but beautiful. All shops were next to beach, so you could get anything from one street. Best place to buy drinks from small convenience store and enjoy them at dock, eat big ice cream portions, shop till you drop and rent a boat or jump in the raft.

We also had little stroll off the centrum. Honestly we didn't have to walk long until we reached "the end". There was only big highway and vineyards up on the hills.  Bol was filled with beautiful apartments though. I think most of them were summer houses for hire, hostels or hotels. Bol is very popular among the tourist, so sometimes it felt there are no local people anywhere, but honestly I didn't mind at all. I was surrounded by tourist. Surrounded by smiling faces. Nobody was in hurry. Everyone was relaxed and enjoying life. What a wonderful place to spend a week.

My favorite view. I still can't get enough of this view. Water was so blue that I wanted to write a book named "50 shades of blue". This time only talking about different shades of blue. Everyday there were boats sailing, people wind surfing, parasailing, swimming and sunbathing. I was so happy that I was able to sunbath, swim all day and end my day by searching seashell's from beach.

Suosikki näkymäni. Hvar saari retkottaa sinertävänä taustalla. Meressä puksuttaa pikku paatteja. Meri sinertää niin sinisenä, että tekee mieli kirjoittaa kirja nimeltä "50 shades of blue". Tällä kertaa keskittyen pelkästään sävyeroihin. Purjelautailijoita, paraseilareita ja nahkaansa polttavia rantamursuja. Oli ihanaa leikkiä kokonaisia päiviä rantamursua, uida aivan liian monta kertaa ja etsiä kivien seasta pienen pieniä simpukoita penskojen seassa.

PARASAILING

I have always wanted to try parasailing. So when we had opportunity to try it with my mom, we decided to take it. I'm afraid of heights, but I was able to forgot my fears up there. Brac and Hvar island's landscapes was beautiful from bird's-eye view. View was stunning. Wind blew between my toes, shop where I bought my dress was tinier than my thumb, I saw big fishes swimming close to surface and most of all I saw Brac's famous Zlatni Rat beach from above.

I'm proud that I faced again one of my fears. I don't want my fears to hold me down. I don't want my fear to capture me and stop me achieving my dreams. So I did it, I screamed...a lot, but I still did it. It was amazing experience.

Louis Vuitton Agenda

After I received information that I had completed my bachelor degree and that I was now officially Bachelor of Administrative Sciences. I decided to give myself a gift.

I'm a bit of an organisation lover, I like things to have their place and everything to run smoothly. My agendas through years have been the epicentre of my studying and working life. My schedule makes my world go round and my days run to plan. I'm colour coding school courses and working shifts, information is included, times dates and locations locked and cute stickers added to cheer up my mood.

Even phones these days have really good calendar options and alerts and all, I just don't personally like to use them. All those social medias comments, likes and interactions, it's easy to lose your grasp on it all. Notifications barking your attention. Mean comments ready to stab your self-confidence. Everybody is craving your attention. You need to be everywhere in real time, you need to be ready to take part in and in the same you need to handle your schedule and life. So phone's calendar is not for me. My phone's calendar is empty. Desert of numbers and I like it.

I love to have a physical agenda in my hands. Through the years I have had different sizes and types of agendas. There have been teenage magazine agendas, fancy black agenda with golden edge, but no matter what kind of agenda I have had I have rarely used it whole year. Somehow I have just got bored with it or I have messed the pages so badly, that I couldn't look at them anymore. Sometimes agenda have been just little too heavy or big and little by little I haven't carry it around with me anymore. So as a gift to myself, I decided to buy myself permanent agenda, which I wouldn't get bored or mess the pages. I bought Louis Vuitton's PM agenda cover. Cover is classic, which I won't get bored and the best part is that every year you can easily change your fillers to new ones. Louis Vuitton offers their own agenda refills, which are pretty pricey. Thankfully Etsy and Shops are filled with cheaper refills, which will match Louis Vuitton agenda perfectly. I bought myself month diary refill from Filofax and week diary from Timex. I also got empty and lines pages for random thoughts and errands. I also bought several bunny stickers from Ebay and Blippo.com, so this year will be bunny themed agenda. Haha.

The best part....agenda is second handed. Vestiaire and Trendsales are filled with used Louis Vuitton agenda's. This beauty came from Denmark. Seller had bought it from Milan. She sent it with authentic box and receipt, which was so nice of her. Agenda cost 155 € with postage. Original price is 300-325 €. So this was great bargain.

Back From Croatia

I'm back from Croatia. It was really nice one week trip with my mom. We were able to spend mom and daughter time, which we don't have so much anymore, because I don't live at home anymore. In one week my freckles exploded to my face and sun kissed my skin. I was swimming in the sea and I felt finally relaxed. I was searching shells from the beach and I felt like was on a mission. I have so many stories to tell and pictures to edit, but here is my first outfit from the trip.

Tomorrow I'm starting new work schedule, which means (too) early wake ups. It always takes few days until I get used to this rhythm.
